This group forecasts the winner of the Best Narrative award at The Game Awards in 2026. The award recognizes outstanding storytelling in video games. Markets ask whether specific games will win, or if a tie will occur.
The Game Awards are presented annually to honor achievements in the video game industry. The 2026 Game Awards are currently scheduled to be presented on December 10, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed video game that wins the 2026 Game Award for Best Narrative. If a game is not officially nominated for the 2026 Game Award for Best Narrative when the 2026 nominees are announced, the corresponding market will immediately resolve to "No". In case of a tie for the winner, this market will resolve in favor of the nominated game whose listed title comes first in alphabetical order. If, for any reason, no winner is declared by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from The Game Awards, including data from their website (e.g., https://thegameawards.com/) and the live broadcast of the award ceremony; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The market resolves to Yes for the specific game that is officially announced as the winner of the Best Narrative category at the 2026 Game Awards. Each market corresponds to a different potential winner, including specific titles and a tie outcome. All markets share a secondary disclaimer stating that Kalshi is not affiliated with the Game Awards and that all trademarks belong to their respective owners. The resolution depends solely on the public announcement of the award winner during the official ceremony or through verified official channels immediately following the event.
Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from individual analyst forecasts. Analysts may have biases or rely on specific information sources, while this market incorporates the collective judgment of many traders. While analyst opinions can be valuable, the aggregated probabilities within this market provide a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely outcome, based on the financial incentives of participants. This can lead to a more accurate prediction, especially as new information becomes available.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading fees, and liquidity, which can influence price discovery. Differences in market design, such as contract specifications or trading limits, also contribute to price discrepancies. Furthermore, differing levels of information awareness among traders on each platform can lead to varied assessments of the probabilities. These factors create opportunities for arbitrage, but also explain why prices aren’t always identical across venues for this market.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner of the Best Narrative award at The Game Awards will determine the outcome. The official announcement from The Game Awards ceremony will serve as the basis for verifying the result. Traders will be able to see the final result and settlement details on both Polymarket and Kalshi following the event's conclusion and official announcement.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Major game releases, critical reception of potential nominees, and any announcements regarding the Game Awards ceremony itself could all shift probabilities. Positive or negative reviews of leading contenders, especially focusing on narrative quality, would likely influence trading activity. Unexpected developments in the gaming industry, such as studio acquisitions or controversies surrounding specific titles, could also move the market. Increased media attention or prominent endorsements of certain games would also be key catalysts to watch.
