This market refers to the cricket match between Papua New Guinea Women and Thailand Women scheduled for August 16 2026 in Thailand Women tour of Papua New Guinea ODI. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the unique dynamics of crowd-sourced forecasting. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on analytical models and historical data, prediction markets aggregate real-time trader sentiment and can react more quickly to new information. This can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing, especially as the event approaches, offering a distinct perspective compared to conventional betting odds.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through buying and selling shares of each possible outcome. The current top outcome reflects the collective belief of participants, displayed as a percentage chance. Volume and recent trades influence price movements, allowing rapid adjustments as new information emerges about team performance, injuries, or weather conditions affecting the match.
This market resolves around Aug 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result is determined by the official match result — which team wins the ODI — and will be settled automatically based on publicly available data from the tournament organizers and reputable sports news sources.
Key signals that could shift this market include injury updates to key players, changes in team strategy or lineup announcements, weather forecasts affecting match conditions, and recent performance in warm-up games. Any development that alters perceptions of either team’s chances can cause rapid price swings, especially as the event date approaches and trading volume increases.
