Texas Super Kings and Washington Freedom compete in a Major League Cricket match on July 11, 2026. The market resolves based on which team wins the professional cricket match.
The match is scheduled for July 11, 2026 at 4:30 PM EDT. Resolution depends on an official winner being declared by the governing body. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner, all markets resolve to $0.50. Forfeits, disqualifications, or concessions occurring before the match begins result in $0.50 resolution; if they occur after play has begun and an official winner is declared, the market resolves accordingly. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets reflect the aggregated belief of traders who have real money at stake. This market's odds represent a decentralized consensus rather than a bookmaker's margin-adjusted line. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than traditional sportsbooks for major sporting events, particularly when trading volume is robust and the event is widely followed by informed participants.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks, and the last executed trade sets the visible price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform converts all prices into implied probabilities, so a quote of 48.5 cents reflects roughly a 48.5% chance of that outcome occurring. As new information emerges or trading interest shifts, the price adjusts in real time. Liquidity and order flow directly influence how quickly prices move, so markets with higher volume typically exhibit tighter spreads and faster price discovery.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the Texas Super Kings vs Washington Freedom match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result—specifically, which team wins the contest. Resolution occurs shortly after the event ends, allowing traders to settle their positions. Kalshi's resolution process relies on established sports data providers and official league announcements to confirm the winner, ensuring accuracy and fairness across all positions.
Several factors can shift odds before the match concludes. Team roster changes, injury announcements, or last-minute lineup adjustments often trigger sharp price moves. Weather conditions, venue-specific factors, and recent form or head-to-head records may influence trader positioning. Major news about player availability or coaching decisions can also sway sentiment. Additionally, as match day approaches, increased media coverage and expert commentary may drive retail participation, amplifying volatility. Real-time developments during the lead-up period—such as warm-up performance or toss outcomes—typically generate the most dramatic repricing in the final hours.
