This event covers team run totals for a Major League Cricket match between Texas Super Kings and Los Angeles Knight Riders scheduled for July 3, 2026. Bettors predict whether each team will exceed specified run thresholds during their innings.
Resolution is based on the actual runs scored by each team as officially recorded in the match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start time, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price, except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened but an official result is declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded runs only, without projections or adjustments.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may price run totals differently than major sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges closer to game time. Comparing the two can reveal where the prediction community sees value relative to conventional betting markets.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for different run-total outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the marginal trade—the most recent match between a buyer and seller—and moves dynamically as new information and trades arrive. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, and the bid-ask spread represents the current disagreement about fair value for the outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the event concludes and the final run totals are verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual combined runs scored by both teams during the match. Your position settles based on whether the final tally matches your prediction, with payouts distributed according to the contract terms at the time you traded.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Team roster changes, injury announcements, or lineup adjustments to either squad will influence run-scoring expectations. Weather conditions at game time, pitch or field characteristics, and recent form or momentum of key players can all trigger repricing. Breaking news about player availability, coaching decisions, or head-to-head trends may also prompt traders to adjust their positions, causing the market price to move as new information becomes public.
