On Kalshi, the Texas Super Kings victory is priced at 99.0%, while a Los Angeles Knight Riders win stands at 1.0%. Watch for the match outcome on July 12, 2026 at 8:30 PM EDT, when the betting window closes and the result becomes official.
Resolution is determined by the official match result. If Texas Super Kings wins, their market resolves Yes; if Los Angeles Knight Riders wins, their market resolves Yes. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. Forfeits, disqualifications, or concessions occurring before the match begins result in $0.50 resolution; if they occur after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, markets resolve based on that result. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market aggregates trader conviction across the full range of possible outcomes, which can reveal information gaps or contrarian views not yet priced into traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can highlight where professional and amateur opinion diverge most sharply.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability traders assign to that outcome at any given moment. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their orders, and the price moves accordingly. Higher prices indicate stronger trader confidence; lower prices suggest skepticism or uncertainty about that outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official result reported by the event organizers and major sports media. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as traders incorporate new information about team form, injuries, weather, and other factors that could influence the final score or winner.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates, recent performance trends, and head-to-head matchup history. Weather conditions, venue factors, and any last-minute lineup changes can shift trader expectations significantly. Media coverage and expert analysis may also influence sentiment, especially if a major prediction or controversy emerges. Trading volume often spikes around these events, creating price volatility as new information is priced in and traders adjust their positions.
