This market focuses on determining which team will score more points specifically in the fourth quarter of a college football game between Texas A&M and LSU. It tracks performance in a single quarter rather than the full game outcome, offering insight into late-game momentum and strategy.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the fourth quarter of the Texas A&M vs LSU college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026, excluding any overtime periods. If LSU scores more points in that quarter, the 'LSU wins 4th Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If Texas A&M scores more points, the 'Texas A&M wins 4th Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of points, the 'Tie 4th Quarter' market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the fourth quarter itself are considered. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi clarifies it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Generally, prediction markets like this one often reflect information beyond what’s captured in traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of people believe one outcome is more likely, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially revealing insights that aren’t immediately apparent in sportsbook lines. However, sportsbook odds still represent a valuable comparison point for evaluating the market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning traders are constantly buying and selling contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts for a particular team to win the 4th quarter, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current market reflects the collective assessment of all traders on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the winner of the 4th quarter of the Texas A&M vs LSU game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on whether their predicted outcome matches the final result.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Texas A&M or LSU teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the market. Additionally, any major strategic announcements or shifts in coaching decisions leading up to the game could impact trader sentiment and cause the odds to fluctuate. Public perception and analyst predictions can also play a role.
