The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second quarter of the Tennessee vs Georgia Tech college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. All markets consider only points scored during the second quarter. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading contracts based on their own beliefs, leading to a potentially more accurate reflection of the true probability of an outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of how each type of market operates. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the total points scored in the Tennessee vs Georgia Tech 2nd quarter. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to aggregate information and reflect the collective expectations of participants. The current price reflects the market’s assessment of the likelihood of the total points falling within a certain range.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official total points scored in the 2nd quarter of the Tennessee vs Georgia Tech football game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a trusted sports data source. All contracts will be settled based on whether the actual total points fall within the ranges defined by the contract prices at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Tennessee or Georgia Tech would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions unfavorable for scoring, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, as the game approaches, any public analysis or expert predictions regarding the likely scoring pace could sway traders’ opinions. Unexpected developments during the first quarter of the game itself could also lead to rapid adjustments in the market price.
