Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals freely trading on their beliefs, theoretically leading to more accurate probabilities, though market-specific factors can influence this. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply variations in market participation.
