This market assesses whether specific tight ends will rank among the highest scorers in fantasy football for a given week, using a points-per-reception scoring system. It includes all eligible players, with non-participating players scoring zero points for the week. Ties at the qualifying positions are settled proportionally.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named player finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points among all tight ends in Week 3 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season. Scoring follows Sleeper's default full-PPR system, which awards points for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive performances as detailed in the rule set. Players who do not participate score zero points. In the event of a tie at the fifth position, each tied player's contract settles at a proportional fraction (1/N, where N is the number of tied players). All players, including those without a listed market, are ranked together, with player-group membership determined by Sleeper at the time of market expiration.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than sportsbook odds, which can be influenced by factors like house biases or public betting patterns. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market represents what traders believe will actually happen. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sets or interpretations of the same data. It's common to see this market and sportsbook odds converge as the event approaches, especially if there is significant public attention.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each tight end being in the top 5. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and reduces the probability. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information and expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final NFL fantasy football rankings for Week 3 are verifiable from credible public reporting. The top 5 tight ends based on standard fantasy point scoring will determine the winners of this market. The resolution will be based on official fantasy football data sources, ensuring an objective and transparent outcome. Traders should monitor these sources as the week progresses to stay informed about potential developments that could impact the final results.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are a major catalyst; news of a key tight end being sidelined would likely shift probabilities. Unexpected changes in team offensive schemes or quarterback performance could also influence expectations. Additionally, any significant news regarding player matchups or coaching decisions could move the market. Finally, general shifts in public perception, driven by analyst rankings or media coverage, can also affect trading activity and contract prices within this market.
