This market determines which tight end will achieve the highest fantasy points in a specific week of the NFL season using a standard scoring system. The outcome is based solely on player performance during the designated game week.
Each market resolves to "Yes" if the specified player finishes highest in total full-PPR fantasy points among all tight ends in Week 3 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for various statistical categories including passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive performances. If the designated player does not participate in any games during the week, they are considered to have scored zero points. In the event of a tie for the highest score among eligible players, the market resolves to a fractional value of 1/N, where N represents the number of players tied for the lead. No holder receives the full contract value minus the "Yes" payout in such tie scenarios. All player eligibility and point calculations are final as determined by Sleeper at the market expiration time.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or focus on public perception, while this market aggregates the views of informed traders. As more information becomes available – such as player injuries or performance updates – both sets of odds will adjust. However, prediction markets often become more accurate closer to the event, potentially offering a more refined probability assessment than traditional sportsbooks. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early in the week.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different players, and the price of each contract reflects the perceived probability of that player being the top-performing tight end. As more traders participate, the prices converge to reflect the collective belief of the market. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a player will perform well, the price of their contract will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to new information.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the final fantasy football point totals for tight ends during Week 3 of the NFL season. The player with the highest fantasy point total, as calculated by standard fantasy football scoring rules, will be declared the winner. This market reflects the performance during the specified game week only, and any disputes regarding scoring will be resolved based on the official rules of major fantasy football platforms.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are crucial; if a top-tier tight end is ruled out, their contract price will likely decrease while others may increase. Unexpected changes in quarterback performance or offensive schemes could also shift expectations. News regarding matchups – a favorable or difficult defensive opponent – will influence trader sentiment. Finally, late-breaking news about player health or playing time, even on game day, can cause rapid price fluctuations in this market, as traders react to the latest information.
