Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the decentralized nature of trading. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on broader public betting trends and sharp money, prediction markets let participants bet directly on their beliefs, which can lead to tighter spreads or more volatile pricing depending on recent performance and news.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through their bets, which determines the current implied probability for each outcome. The top outcome’s chance reflects the collective wisdom of participants betting on who they think will win, with the market price adjusting dynamically based on new information and trading volume.
