Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than bookmaker risk management. Sportsbooks adjust lines to balance action and lock in margins, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from many independent participants. For the exact score outcome, prediction market prices may react faster to breaking news or shift more dramatically based on real-time information flow, whereas sportsbooks typically move more conservatively to protect their book.
On Polymarket, the exact score market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each possible final scoreline. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each exact score outcome has its own contract, and the price of each reflects the probability traders assign to that result occurring. Prices update continuously as new trades execute, allowing participants to enter or exit positions at market rates. The most heavily traded scorelines typically show tighter bid-ask spreads and higher liquidity.
The market resolves on Jun 13, 2026, following the conclusion of the match between Tampereen Ilves and Turun Palloseura. Resolution is determined by the final score at the end of regular play. Traders holding shares in the winning exact scoreline outcome receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. The timing ensures sufficient confirmation of the official result before settlement occurs.
Key catalysts include team news such as player injuries, suspensions, or lineup announcements that affect attacking or defensive capability. Recent form and head-to-head records can shift trader expectations about likely scorelines. Weather conditions on match day may influence goal-scoring patterns. Pre-match analysis from respected analysts or unexpected odds movements on related markets can trigger repricing. Closer to kickoff, official team sheets and last-minute tactical adjustments often drive final adjustments in exact score probabilities as traders refine their predictions.
