Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from thousands of independent traders with real money at stake. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, depending on which venue's participants have stronger conviction or access to fresher information. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money sees value relative to conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time contract prices. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is represented as a separate contract, and the price of each reflects the cumulative belief of all traders. As traders buy or sell, the price adjusts instantly to reflect new information or sentiment shifts. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens or widens based on trading volume and competition among market participants.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as new information emerges, odds shift, or trader sentiment changes. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final score being confirmed.
Several factors could shift prices before this market closes. Player injuries, withdrawals, or last-minute lineup changes announced before the match would likely trigger sharp moves. Real-time match developments—such as early set results, momentum swings, or unexpected performance—often cause traders to reassess probabilities and adjust positions. News about player form, recent head-to-head records, or court conditions may also influence sentiment. Weather delays or scheduling changes could create volatility as traders recalibrate their forecasts.
