If the player is scratched, not in the starting lineup, or fails to record a plate appearance, the market resolves to the fair market price. Pinch-hit at-bats are excluded from consideration. Only players who start and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the settlement, which is based strictly on the total bases achieved during their participation in the game.
