Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there's strong public sentiment or inside information not yet reflected in sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome, and the price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability. As more people buy shares indicating a certain outcome will occur, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket, and the platform facilitates these trades, ensuring a transparent and dynamic pricing process.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome and their positions in the market. The exact timing of the resolution may depend on the speed with which official results are published and verified.
