This event group covers an MLB game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals scheduled for July 2, 2026 at 7:40 PM ET. Markets span three distinct questions: the game winner, whether a run is scored in the first inning, and whether the game goes to extra innings.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals, scheduled for July 2 at 7:40PM ET: This market will resolve to "Tampa Bay Rays" if the Tampa Bay Rays win the game. This market will resolve to "Kansas City Royals" if the Kansas City Royals win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which naturally creates price variation. Polymarket may have deeper liquidity in baseball markets, while Kalshi draws traders with different risk appetites or information sets. Arbitrage opportunities between venues are often fleeting due to withdrawal delays and platform fees. Monitoring both prices helps traders spot temporary mispricings and understand which platform's consensus is more robust. Over time, prices tend to converge as informed traders exploit gaps.
Key catalysts include injury announcements to star players, bullpen availability, recent team form, and weather conditions at game time. Lineup changes announced hours before first pitch often trigger sharp repricing. Betting market movement at sportsbooks can signal sharp action and precede prediction market shifts. Breaking news about roster decisions, trades, or coaching changes may also influence trader positioning. Monitor sports news feeds and team social media for updates that could shift the probability landscape before this market closes.
