This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh scheduled for 2026-07-17 in T20I Series Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Zimbabwe will be considered correct if Zimbabwe is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if Bangladesh is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader supply and demand. This market aggregates decentralized trader sentiment rather than a bookmaker's risk management. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing on niche outcomes like coin tosses because traders with genuine insight can profit directly. However, sportsbook odds may incorporate additional data streams or professional oddsmaking expertise, making direct comparison context-dependent.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the probability traders assign to it, with higher prices indicating stronger conviction. As traders place orders, the market price adjusts in real time. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices move and how wide the bid-ask spread becomes, affecting the cost of entering or exiting a position.
This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the T20I match toss has occurred and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official coin toss result announced at the start of the match. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution window typically closes shortly after the toss is confirmed, locking in final payouts for all participants.
Several factors can shift trader positioning in this market before resolution. Official team announcements regarding captains or squad changes may influence toss-outcome expectations if they alter perceived momentum or confidence. Weather or pitch condition reports could sway sentiment if they affect team strategy or captain psychology. Media commentary and expert analysis about team preferences or historical toss patterns may prompt traders to rebalance. Late-breaking news about player injuries or tactical shifts can also trigger repricing. As the match start time approaches, final trading activity often reflects last-minute sentiment adjustments.
