This market refers to the cricket match between Sweden and Portugal scheduled for July 2 2026 in T20 Series Sweden vs Portugal. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets reflect pure trader consensus without a built-in house edge. This market may show different probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new information emerges or trading volume shifts. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional bookmaker pricing.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into a particular outcome, the higher its price climbs, and vice versa. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market reflects real-time conviction among participants. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how quickly prices respond to breaking news or shifting expectations about the match.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the T20 match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the match on the day. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on team news, player availability, weather forecasts, and other factors that traders believe affect the result. Early resolution is possible if circumstances prevent the match from being played as scheduled.
Key injury announcements, roster changes, or player unavailability can shift trader sentiment significantly. Weather forecasts closer to match day may influence perceived advantage, particularly in T20 cricket where conditions affect batting and bowling dynamics. Team form, recent head-to-head results, and venue-specific factors also drive price movement. Breaking news about team strategy, coaching changes, or external circumstances affecting either squad will likely trigger rapid repricing as new information reaches the market.
