This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Japan and Malaysia scheduled for September 12 2026 at 9:00 PM ET in T20 Series Japan vs Malaysia, Women. The outcome corresponding to Japan will be considered correct if Japan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Malaysia will be considered correct if Malaysia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the odds on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently, or that one venue has a more informed or active trading base. It's always valuable to compare both to form your own informed opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket, and it’s influenced by any new information or sentiment shifts related to the T20 series and the toss itself.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins – will be used to determine the winning share. The outcome will be based on the official result announced during the match broadcast or by the official tournament organizers. This ensures a transparent and verifiable resolution process for all traders participating in this market. The resolution will be based on the official toss result, not on any pre-match predictions or analyses.
Several factors could influence the price action of this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or pitch conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather forecasts impacting the match schedule might also play a role. Even general news about the teams or the tournament could cause fluctuations. Furthermore, large trades on Polymarket by informed traders could create significant price movements. Monitoring these signals and staying updated on the latest information will be crucial for understanding potential shifts in this market before it resolves.
