This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Ireland and India scheduled for 2026-06-26 in T20 Series Ireland vs India. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Ireland will be considered correct if Ireland is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and generate profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money incentives to forecast accurately. This market reflects decentralized price discovery—odds shift as new information emerges and traders adjust positions. Sportsbooks may lag behind or price events differently based on their risk management strategies, making prediction market prices a useful independent signal for comparing against traditional betting lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly against a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome—such as Ireland or India winning the toss—adjusts continuously based on supply and demand, with the cost of shares rising as more traders accumulate positions on one side. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and trader conviction, with spreads tightening as liquidity increases and widening during periods of lower activity.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the T20 match toss has been conducted and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official toss call at the ground, confirmed through match broadcasts or official cricket board announcements. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout once the event concludes and the platform confirms the result, while incorrect positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the toss occurs. Weather conditions at the venue may influence trader expectations, as certain teams historically perform better in specific conditions. Team news, including injury updates or lineup changes announced closer to match day, can alter perceived advantages. Media commentary and expert analysis circulating on social platforms often trigger repricing as traders incorporate fresh perspectives. Additionally, historical head-to-head toss records or venue-specific patterns may prompt position adjustments as the match date approaches and new information becomes available.
