PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's match winner market contains a logical contradiction: both England win and India win are specified to resolve to Yes, making the market fundamentally unresolvable. Polymarket's match winner market is logically sound with clear winner determination.Hero tip: Do not trade Kalshi's match winner market as written—it cannot be settled without platform intervention. Use Polymarket for match winner exposure. Toss and completion markets are consistent across both platforms and safe to trade.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Match winner market states: 'If England wins...resolves to Yes' AND 'If India wins...resolves to Yes.' This is a logical impossibility—both outcomes cannot resolve to the same result. The market lacks a No resolution condition and cannot distinguish between the two possible winners.
  • Polymarket: Match winner market resolves to the finalized result per ESPNcricinfo. Includes explicit handling of ties (50-50 if no Super Over; Super Over winner if available), DLS/DRS rulings (treated as ordinary wins), and cancellations (50-50). Clear, resolvable logic.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between England and India scheduled for July 7 2026 in T20 Series England vs India. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

The England vs India T20 International match scheduled for July 7, 2026 at 1:30 PM EDT will resolve based on the official result declared by the governing body. If England wins, the England market resolves Yes and the India market resolves No. If India wins, the India market resolves Yes and the England market resolves No. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. If a forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurs before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. If such an event occurs after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, markets resolve based on that declared result. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price risk differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect what traders actually believe will happen—there's no house edge. This market aggregates trader positions across multiple platforms, which often converge closer to true probability than any single sportsbook line. Comparing this market's odds to your preferred sportsbook can reveal value opportunities, though liquidity and market depth vary by venue.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and risk appetites. Polymarket and Kalshi may also have distinct fee structures, user interfaces, and market-making incentives that influence how quickly prices adjust to new information. Regulatory differences and settlement mechanics can also create temporary spreads. These gaps often close as arbitrageurs trade across venues, but monitoring the divergence helps you identify which platform offers better value for your view.

Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates to star players, recent form and head-to-head records, and weather conditions at match venues. Toss outcomes and early innings momentum often trigger sharp repricing. Media sentiment, betting syndicates' positioning, and any last-minute venue or scheduling changes can also shift odds significantly. Monitoring cricket news feeds and tracking trader activity on both platforms will help you stay ahead of major moves before they're fully reflected in prices.
