Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Scotland and Bangladesh scheduled for 2026-06-02 in T20 Scotland Tri-Series, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Scotland will be considered correct if Scotland is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if Bangladesh is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than fixed bookmaker lines. Sportsbooks typically adjust odds less frequently and build in larger margins. Prediction markets, driven by continuous trading and financial incentives, can price toss outcomes more efficiently. Comparing Polymarket probabilities to major sportsbooks reveals whether the crowd is more bullish or bearish on Scotland or Bangladesh winning the toss. This comparison helps bettors identify value and understand how professional oddsmakers view this specific match outcome.

On Polymarket, the Scotland vs Bangladesh toss outcome is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome—Scotland wins toss or Bangladesh wins toss—has a separate contract, and the combined probabilities reflect market consensus. Prices adjust dynamically as traders buy and sell shares, with higher trading volume typically narrowing bid-ask spreads. The current market price directly indicates what percentage of traders believe each team will win the toss, making Polymarket's pricing mechanism transparent and responsive to new information about team conditions or match circumstances.

The market resolves on Jun 9, 2026, immediately after the toss is conducted before the match begins. Resolution is determined by the official coin toss result announced by the match officials. The outcome is binary: either Scotland wins the toss or Bangladesh wins the toss. There is no ambiguity in toss outcomes, making this one of the most straightforward resolution events in sports prediction markets. Once the toss is complete and confirmed, the market settles and traders receive payouts based on which outcome they backed.

Market odds may shift based on team news, injury updates, or weather conditions affecting toss strategy. If key players are ruled out, traders might adjust their confidence in either team's preparation or luck. Weather forecasts—particularly wind or rain—can influence perceived toss advantage, as some captains prefer calling heads or tails in specific conditions. Late-breaking team composition changes or captain substitutions could also trigger repricing. Additionally, if one team has historically dominated toss outcomes against the other, traders may incorporate that historical data. Trading volume typically spikes closer to match time as more casual bettors enter the market.
