PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's match winner market has a logical contradiction: both Luxembourg and Czechia winning resolve to Yes, leaving no valid resolution path for ties or abandoned matches. Polymarket provides a coherent framework with explicit tie and cancellation handling.Hero tip: Do not trade Kalshi's match winner market without clarification from Kalshi support. The dual-Yes resolution structure is logically impossible in a binary market. Polymarket's market is resolvable and should be preferred.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Match winner resolves based on finalized result: Czechia wins, Luxembourg wins, or 50-50 for ties without on-field tiebreak or abandoned matches. Explicit handling of DLS, Super Over, forfeit, and cancellation scenarios. Key Quote: 'If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50.'
  • Kalshi: Match winner market states both Luxembourg and Czechia wins resolve to Yes, creating logical impossibility. No resolution rule provided for ties, abandoned matches, or non-completion. Key Quote: 'If Luxembourg wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If Czechia wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' (No else clause or tie handling.)
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between Czechia and Luxembourg scheduled for June 28 2026 in T20 Central Europe Cup. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

This event resolves based on the official result declared by the governing body for the Czechia vs Luxembourg T20 International cricket match. If either team wins, their corresponding market resolves to Yes. In cases where the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. If a forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurs before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. However, if such an event occurs after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, the market resolves according to that result. Additionally, if play commences but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds on Polymarket and Kalshi reflect what thousands of independent traders are willing to stake, often revealing sharper or earlier signals than fixed sportsbook lines. Comparing this market to major sportsbooks can highlight mispricings, especially during fast-moving news cycles or when retail sportsbook action lags professional trader positioning.

Polymarket and Kalshi may show different odds on this event for several reasons. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts distinct trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which influence how quickly prices adjust to new information. Polymarket focuses on binary outcomes with regulatory oversight, while Kalshi operates on a broader contract design philosophy. Differences in contract specifications, minimum order sizes, and withdrawal timelines can also create temporary price gaps. These spreads typically narrow as arbitrageurs exploit the divergence, but monitoring both venues reveals real-time market sentiment fragmentation.

Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. Team roster announcements, injury reports, or last-minute lineup changes often trigger sharp repricing as traders reassess win probability. Weather forecasts closer to match day—particularly wind and humidity affecting T20 play—can influence both prediction markets and sportsbooks. Recent form, head-to-head records, and venue-specific performance data may also drive trader positioning. Additionally, any official tournament updates, venue changes, or regulatory news could prompt rapid repricing across both platforms, so monitoring team social media and official tournament channels is essential for staying ahead of market moves.
