This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Yorkshire and Leicestershire scheduled for 2026-07-05 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Yorkshire will be considered correct if Yorkshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Leicestershire will be considered correct if Leicestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, prediction market participants may price the toss outcome differently than traditional bookmakers, especially as match day approaches and new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker or order book mechanism, where buy and sell orders determine the implied probability of each toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the collective assessment of all active traders at that moment. As new information surfaces—team news, weather conditions, or historical toss patterns—traders adjust their positions, causing the price to shift. This continuous repricing ensures the market remains responsive to changing expectations.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Yorkshire and Leicestershire concludes and the toss result is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the official toss call at the ground, verified against credible public reporting from the match broadcast or the official league records. Your position settles based on which team or outcome was called correctly at the coin toss, with no ambiguity in the result.
Several factors can shift this market before resolution. Team news—injuries, roster changes, or tactical announcements—may alter perceived toss importance or betting patterns. Weather forecasts and pitch conditions can influence how traders value the toss advantage. Media commentary or expert analysis highlighting historical toss patterns or captain preferences may sway sentiment. As match day approaches and the fixture draws nearer, volatility often increases. Finally, any last-minute developments or venue-specific factors could prompt traders to adjust positions, creating price movement right up until the toss occurs.
