This market refers to the cricket match between Yorkshire and Leicestershire scheduled for July 5 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven by decentralized trader consensus. Sportsbooks may adjust lines more frequently based on sharp action and liability management, whereas prediction markets aggregate information continuously as new evidence emerges. Neither is inherently more accurate, but comparing the two can reveal where one venue perceives edge relative to the other, offering traders a lens into potential mispricings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly against a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of shares in the pool, and as traders transact, the price adjusts dynamically. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price discovery, while lower liquidity can widen the gap between bid and ask. Traders profit by correctly predicting the match result and selling their shares at a higher price than they purchased them.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the T20 Blast fixture between Yorkshire and Leicestershire is complete and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the match under standard T20 cricket rules. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the final ball is bowled and the winner is officially confirmed. Traders should monitor official league announcements and match reports to anticipate the exact resolution timing.
Key catalysts include team news such as player injuries, roster changes, or unexpected absences announced before the match. Weather conditions at the venue can significantly influence T20 outcomes, particularly if rain threatens to shorten the game. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any last-minute tactical adjustments by either side may prompt traders to reassess probabilities. Live match developments—such as early wickets, aggressive batting, or bowling breakthroughs—will drive sharp repricing as the event unfolds and new information becomes available.
