This market refers to the cricket match between Worcestershire and Somerset scheduled for June 28 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake on outcomes. This market's odds may move faster in response to breaking news, team updates, or sharp trading activity, whereas sportsbooks adjust more cautiously to protect their margins. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs most sharply.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one potential result, and the price reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new information emerges—team news, weather, injury updates—traders adjust their positions, pushing prices up or down. The more confident traders are in an outcome, the higher its price climbs, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the T20 Blast fixture between the two sides concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect the official match result as confirmed by the relevant cricket authorities and major sports news outlets. Until that point, prices will continue to fluctuate based on trader expectations and any developments that shift the perceived likelihood of each outcome.
Team news—injuries, roster changes, or surprise inclusions—can trigger sharp price swings in this market. Weather forecasts closer to match day may shift expectations, particularly if rain or extreme conditions are predicted. Recent form, head-to-head records, and venue-specific factors also influence trader sentiment. Late-breaking tactical announcements or captain's decisions announced at the toss can cause final repricing. Any significant betting action from sharp traders or sudden shifts in public perception will ripple through prices as the fixture approaches.
