This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Surrey and Warwickshire scheduled for 2026-07-08 in T20 Blast, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if Surrey is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Warwickshire will be considered correct if Warwickshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. This market's odds may lead or lag traditional sportsbook lines depending on which venue attracts sharper early information. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest or where one market may be mispricing the toss outcome relative to the other.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each possible toss outcome, with the share price reflecting the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker or order book model where supply and demand determine the odds in real time. As traders place bets, prices adjust continuously, and the spread between bid and ask reflects liquidity and confidence in the outcome. This decentralized pricing mechanism means the odds you see are a direct result of collective trader positioning rather than a fixed sportsbook margin.
This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, once the toss result from the Surrey vs Warwickshire Women's T20 Blast match is verified and confirmed. The outcome is determined by the official coin toss conducted before play begins, with the result verified against credible public sources such as the match broadcast or official league records. Resolution occurs shortly after the toss is called and documented, ensuring all traders receive a final settlement based on the actual event outcome.
Market movement before resolution typically reflects changing expectations about team conditions, weather, or venue factors that might influence the toss call or captain's decision-making. News about player availability, injury updates, or tactical shifts can shift trader sentiment on which outcome is more likely. As match day approaches and official team sheets are announced, traders may adjust positions based on which captain is more likely to win and choose their preferred batting or bowling option. Late-breaking information about ground conditions or weather forecasts can also trigger repricing in the final hours before the toss occurs.
