This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Surrey and Hampshire scheduled for 2026-07-12 in T20 Blast, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if Surrey is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Hampshire will be considered correct if Hampshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital. For this market, comparing the implied probability here to published sportsbook lines can reveal whether professional oddsmakers and decentralized traders are aligned on the toss outcome, or whether one venue perceives edge relative to the other.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of capital allocated to each side; as traders place orders, the price adjusts continuously. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tight the spread is and how much slippage you may experience when entering or exiting a position.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the toss result from the Surrey versus Hampshire match is confirmed and verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official toss call at the start of play. Until that point, traders can adjust positions based on team news, weather updates, or other pre-match signals that might influence captain decisions or perceived toss advantage.
Several factors may shift odds before resolution. Team injury announcements or lineup changes can alter captain strategy and perceived toss importance. Weather forecasts—particularly wind, humidity, or pitch conditions—often influence whether teams prefer to bat or bowl first, creating predictable toss preferences. Betting patterns from sharp money or public sentiment swings can also drive price movement. Close to match time, any last-minute venue or scheduling updates may trigger repricing as traders reassess the tactical context.
