This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Somerset and Surrey scheduled for 2026-06-28 in T20 Blast, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Somerset will be considered correct if Somerset is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if Surrey is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds emerge from real-time supply and demand among participants rather than a bookmaker's fixed spread. Sportsbooks typically adjust lines based on volume and liability, whereas prediction markets adjust instantly as new information arrives. Both can offer valuable signals, but prediction markets often capture longer-tail information and niche perspectives that traditional sportsbooks may not price efficiently.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome contract reflects the collective confidence of all participants; as traders accumulate positions, prices shift to balance supply and demand. Liquidity providers and active traders continuously adjust their bids and asks, causing the market price to move in real time. The current odds you see represent the marginal trader's valuation at that moment, incorporating all available information about the Somerset versus Surrey toss outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the Women's T20 Blast match between Somerset and Surrey concludes and the toss result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match data and toss records published by the tournament organizers or verified sports reporting. Traders holding positions in the winning outcome will receive their payout once the event is confirmed and the market is settled. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as participants reassess probabilities based on team news, conditions, or other relevant developments.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Team roster changes, injury announcements, or late lineup confirmations may alter perceived match dynamics. Weather forecasts closer to game day could influence toss strategy expectations and trader positioning. Recent form, head-to-head records, or venue-specific conditions might prompt reassessment of each side's likelihood. Breaking news about player availability or tactical adjustments could trigger rapid repricing. Additionally, early trading volume and sentiment from informed participants often signals emerging consensus, which can accelerate price movement as other traders react and adjust their positions accordingly.
