This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Essex and The Blaze scheduled for 2026-06-28 in T20 Blast, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Essex will be considered correct if Essex is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to The Blaze will be considered correct if The Blaze is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs. This market's odds emerge from continuous trading rather than a fixed bookmaker margin, which can make them more responsive to new information. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value, though each reflects genuine market conviction in its own context.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker and order book mechanism, where buy and sell orders determine the price of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The toss double market price reflects the collective belief of all participants about the likelihood of the specified dual outcome. As new information emerges—team news, weather updates, or betting patterns—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. Liquidity providers and speculators continuously compete, ensuring the market price incorporates available knowledge in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the Women's T20 Blast match between Essex and The Blaze concludes and the toss result is confirmed. The outcome is determined by verifying both the toss outcome and the match result against credible public sources, ensuring the dual condition specified in the market is accurately recorded. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match end, allowing traders to settle their positions promptly. Until that point, the market remains open for trading and price discovery.
Several factors can shift this market's price before resolution. Team news—injuries, roster changes, or lineup announcements—often influences both toss predictions and match expectations. Weather forecasts can affect pitch conditions and toss strategy, particularly in T20 cricket where conditions matter significantly. Betting patterns and sharp money flowing into one side may signal professional conviction. Pre-match commentary from analysts and social media sentiment can also sway trader positioning. Any official updates from the league or venues will likely trigger repricing as new information becomes available.
