This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Warwickshire and Sussex scheduled for 2026-07-01 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Warwickshire will be considered correct if Warwickshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Sussex will be considered correct if Sussex is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader supply and demand. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information and can shift rapidly as new data emerges, whereas sportsbooks may move more slowly to avoid sharp action. For a toss market, both venues should converge toward fair value, but prediction markets often react faster to breaking news or sentiment shifts among informed traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative bids and asks from the trading community, with liquidity pools ensuring continuous pricing even during low-volume periods. As traders place orders, the implied probability of each outcome adjusts in real time. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and your trade execution depends on available liquidity at your chosen price level.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Warwickshire and Sussex concludes and the toss result is verified. The outcome is determined by which team wins the coin toss at the start of play. Resolution is confirmed once the toss is reported by credible public sources covering the fixture. Traders holding positions in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The exact resolution timestamp aligns with official match records and broadcast confirmation.
Several factors can shift this market before resolution. Team news—such as injury announcements or lineup changes—may influence trader sentiment about which captain will be more aggressive in calling the toss. Weather updates, pitch reports, and venue-specific conditions can also sway expectations, as some captains favor particular strategies in certain environments. Social media activity and expert commentary from cricket analysts may drive late positioning. Additionally, any official statements from team management or broadcasters about toss timing or procedures could trigger repricing. Close to match start, late money often flows as informed traders finalize their positions.
