This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Warwickshire and Gloucestershire scheduled for 2026-07-05 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Warwickshire will be considered correct if Warwickshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Gloucestershire will be considered correct if Gloucestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while this market prices outcomes through continuous trader participation and real-money incentives. Prediction markets tend to aggregate dispersed information more efficiently, sometimes offering sharper or earlier signals than fixed sportsbook lines. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and faster liquidity in mainstream events, making direct comparison useful for identifying value.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each toss outcome, with the share price reflecting the crowd's consensus probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker model where prices adjust continuously based on order flow and inventory. As traders place bets on either outcome, the price moves to incentivize balancing trades, ensuring that the final odds represent the aggregate belief of all participants about which team will win the toss.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Warwickshire and Gloucestershire concludes and the toss result is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public reporting from the match broadcast or official cricket sources. Traders holding shares in the winning toss outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution window typically closes shortly after the match begins, ensuring all positions settle fairly based on the actual toss call.
Several factors can shift this market before resolution. Weather updates or pitch reports may influence trader expectations about which captain wins the toss and chooses to bat or bowl first. Team news, injury announcements, or lineup changes can alter perceived advantage and shift toss strategy. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and historical head-to-head toss records may prompt repricing as match day draws closer. Late-breaking information about ground conditions or captain preferences typically triggers the most volatile price movements in the final hours before the toss.
