This market refers to the cricket match between Sussex and Hampshire scheduled for July 12 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set fixed lines designed to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one allow traders to continuously adjust prices based on new information and shifting conviction. This market's odds may move faster in response to team news, injuries, or weather updates, whereas traditional sportsbooks may lag or require manual line adjustments. Direct comparison depends on the specific sportsbook and timing of your check.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability estimates. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the cumulative conviction of all participants; as more traders back one outcome, its price rises and its implied probability increases. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how smoothly prices move, so active markets tend to have tighter spreads and faster price discovery than thin ones.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the Sussex vs Hampshire T20 match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final match result—whether Sussex or Hampshire wins, or if the match ends in a tie or no-result. Resolution happens automatically once the event is confirmed, and all positions are settled according to the verified outcome.
Key catalysts that could shift this market include team lineup announcements, injury updates to star players, and weather forecasts closer to match day. Toss results and pitch conditions revealed on game day often trigger sharp price moves, as do early-match developments like early wickets or aggressive batting. Public expert analysis, recent form streaks, and head-to-head historical performance can also influence trader positioning. Real-time match commentary and live scoring will drive the most dramatic repricing as the fixture unfolds.
