This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Somerset and Gloucestershire scheduled for 2026-06-26 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Somerset will be considered correct if Somerset is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Gloucestershire will be considered correct if Gloucestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders seeking to profit on accuracy. Sportsbooks typically adjust for sharp action and public sentiment, whereas prediction markets aggregate distributed knowledge across many participants. Neither is inherently more accurate, but comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs. Traders often use sportsbook lines as a reference point when evaluating whether this market's current odds represent value.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the collective belief of all participants about the likelihood of the toss result. As new information emerges—team news, weather updates, or betting patterns—traders adjust their positions, causing the odds to shift. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new signals. The top outcome currently reflects the strongest consensus among active traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the T20 Blast match toss has occurred and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official toss call and any related match conditions specified in the market terms. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information becomes available. Resolution typically happens within hours of the event conclusion, after which no further trading is permitted and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome.
Several factors could shift odds before the toss occurs. Team lineup announcements, injury updates, or late weather forecasts may influence trader expectations about conditions at the ground. Betting patterns from sharp bettors or sportsbook line movements can signal new information. Pre-match commentary from analysts or team captains discussing strategy might also sway sentiment. Social media trends or unexpected news about either Somerset or Gloucestershire could trigger repricing. As the match start time approaches, liquidity typically increases and volatility may spike as traders finalize positions ahead of the toss.
