This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Nottinghamshire and Surrey scheduled for 2026-07-15 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Nottinghamshire will be considered correct if Nottinghamshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if Surrey is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set fixed lines based on statistical models and aim to balance action on both sides for profit. Prediction markets, by contrast, aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery—odds shift dynamically as participants buy and sell shares based on their own analysis. For this market, prediction market prices may move faster in response to team news, weather updates, or other catalysts, while sportsbooks adjust more slowly. Both can offer value, but prediction markets often excel at capturing real-time sentiment and emerging information.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into continuous odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome, and the price adjusts based on the ratio of shares outstanding. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls, creating a self-balancing mechanism. This design encourages participation across all outcomes and typically results in tighter spreads than traditional order-book exchanges. The real-time price reflects the collective conviction of all active traders at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the toss outcome is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources covering the match. The resolution hinges on the official result of the coin toss as reported by the match officials and broadcast coverage. Traders should monitor official team announcements and match updates as the event approaches to stay informed. Any delays in official confirmation may extend the resolution window slightly, but the market will settle as soon as the toss result is publicly established and verified.
Several factors can shift trader sentiment and move prices in this market before resolution. Team news—such as injury updates, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—may influence perceived toss strategy or captain confidence. Weather forecasts and pitch conditions can affect how traders expect captains to call the toss. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and historical head-to-head toss records may also influence positioning. As the match start time approaches, late-breaking information and final team confirmations often trigger sharp price moves. Traders monitoring these signals can capitalize on mispricings as new information reaches the market.
