This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Nottinghamshire and Surrey scheduled for 2026-07-15 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match statistics as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Nottinghamshire will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Nottinghamshire. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Surrey. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader consensus rather than fixed bookmaker margins. On Polymarket, odds shift dynamically as new information emerges—team news, injury updates, or early match momentum. Sportsbooks typically adjust less frequently and build in a profit margin, whereas prediction markets are peer-to-peer and respond instantly to supply and demand. For this market, comparing the implied probability here to major sportsbook offerings can reveal whether traders are pricing a batter's chances higher or lower than the betting industry consensus.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader bets into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each batter's contract trades independently, and the price reflects the cumulative probability assigned by all active traders. As more capital flows into a particular player's contract, the odds shift upward; conversely, withdrawals lower the price. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures this market remains efficient and responsive to breaking news about player availability, form, or tactical changes.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Nottinghamshire and Surrey concludes. The outcome is determined by identifying which eligible batter scored the highest individual run total during the match. Resolution is confirmed once the result is verifiable from credible public sources, including official match records and sports data providers. Early or abandoned matches may trigger alternative resolution rules depending on platform policy.
Several catalysts can shift odds significantly before the match begins. Team announcements regarding player injuries, rest decisions, or surprise inclusions will trigger immediate repricing, especially for star batters. Pitch reports and weather forecasts influence batter selection and confidence levels. Once play starts, early performance—quick runs, dismissals, or aggressive batting—reshapes expectations for remaining batters. Momentum swings, partnerships, and field placements also drive trading activity. Major injuries during the match can eliminate contenders and consolidate odds around remaining candidates.
