This market refers to the cricket match between Middlesex and Sussex scheduled for July 10 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive prices purely from trader supply and demand. This market aggregates the views of many independent forecasters without a built-in margin, potentially offering sharper odds. However, sportsbooks may have faster access to injury reports or team news, creating temporary advantages. Comparing both sources can reveal valuable discrepancies and help you identify mispriced outcomes.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one potential result, and the price reflects the collective confidence of all participants. As new information emerges—team lineups, weather updates, or injury news—traders adjust their positions, moving prices in real time. The platform's transparent order flow means you can see exactly how sentiment is shifting and react accordingly before the match begins.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result as recorded by relevant cricket authorities and widely reported sources. Until that point, prices may continue to shift as new developments emerge. Early resolution is not typical unless the match is abandoned or cancelled under exceptional circumstances, in which case the platform will communicate any special resolution rules clearly.
Key catalysts include team announcements regarding player availability, injuries to star performers, and weather forecasts closer to match day. Venue conditions, pitch reports, and recent form of both sides can shift trader sentiment significantly. Lineup confirmations released shortly before the match often trigger sharp price movements as uncertainty resolves. Public expert analysis and betting syndicate activity may also influence prices. Any late-breaking news about ground conditions or last-minute roster changes could prompt rapid repricing as traders reassess win probabilities.
