This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire scheduled for 2026-06-28 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Leicestershire will be considered correct if Leicestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Nottinghamshire will be considered correct if Nottinghamshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. This market may show materially different probabilities than traditional betting sites, particularly as new information surfaces or when one venue attracts more sophisticated traders. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest or where outlier views persist.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one potential toss result, and the price of each reflects the collective willingness to trade at that level. As new information arrives or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, which moves the implied probability. The market remains open to new participants until close, ensuring prices continuously incorporate fresh perspectives and data relevant to the toss outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire has been played and the toss result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined solely by which team wins the coin toss at the start of play. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the match beginning, as official scorecards and match reports become available. Early resolution may occur if the match is postponed or cancelled under specific conditions outlined by the platform.
Several factors can shift trader sentiment before the toss occurs. Weather forecasts, pitch reports, and team news—such as injury updates or lineup changes—may influence perceptions of which captain would prefer to bat or bowl first. Historical head-to-head toss records between these sides can also attract attention from informed traders. As match day draws closer, real-time conditions like overnight rain or ground staff reports may prompt last-minute repricing. Media commentary and expert predictions published in the days leading up to play can likewise move implied probabilities as new reasoning reaches the market.
