PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's match winner market is logically incomplete, defining only Yes outcomes (Glamorgan wins OR Middlesex wins) with no explicit No path, and omitting all edge-case handling (ties, cancellations, no-results). Polymarket provides comprehensive resolution logic. This makes Kalshi's market fundamentally unresolvable under standard binary market semantics.Hero tip: Treat Polymarket as the authoritative resolution standard for this event group. Kalshi's match winner market should not be traded until the platform clarifies the No outcome and edge-case handling. The toss and completion markets on both platforms are consistent and safe to trade.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Match winner resolves to official ESPN Cricinfo result. Explicit handling: DLS/DRS/penalties/Super Overs count as ordinary wins; ties with on-field tiebreaks use tiebreak winner; ties without tiebreaks resolve 50-50; cancellations/no-results resolve 50-50. Postponements keep market open until fixture is played or permanently canceled.
  • Kalshi: Market resolves Yes if Glamorgan wins OR if Middlesex wins. No explicit handling of ties, cancellations, no-results, or postponements. No defined No outcome. Logically incomplete binary structure.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between Glamorgan and Middlesex scheduled for July 3 2026 in T20 Blast, League 2, Women. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

Resolution depends on the official outcome declared by the governing body. If either team wins, that team's market resolves to Yes. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. Forfeits, disqualifications, or concessions occurring before play begins result in $0.50 resolution; if they occur after play has begun and an official winner is declared, resolution follows that result. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.

Frequently asked questions

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which can cause temporary price gaps. Polymarket may emphasize toss outcomes while Kalshi focuses on match winners, leading to distinct probability distributions. Additionally, platform-specific rules on market creation, dispute resolution, and order matching can influence how quickly prices converge. Savvy traders monitor both venues to identify arbitrage opportunities or to gauge which outcome commands stronger conviction across the prediction market ecosystem.

Team announcements regarding player availability, lineup changes, or injury updates can significantly shift odds before the match begins. Weather forecasts, pitch conditions, and venue-specific factors may also influence trader positioning. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any last-minute tactical shifts reported by analysts can trigger repricing across both platforms. Social media sentiment and expert commentary often precede measurable market moves, so monitoring cricket news sources alongside live order flow helps identify emerging catalysts.
