This market refers to the cricket match between Kent and Surrey scheduled for July 10 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by traders seeking to profit from accurate forecasts. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants who have real money at stake, which can sometimes reveal insights that traditional oddsmakers miss. Comparing the two can highlight where consensus differs and help you make more informed decisions.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the crowd's aggregate belief about the likelihood of that outcome, updated continuously as new trades occur. Higher demand for a particular outcome drives its price up, signaling greater confidence, while lower demand pushes it down. This mechanism ensures prices stay responsive to new information and trader sentiment throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices may shift as new information emerges, team news breaks, or conditions change. Early resolution is possible if circumstances make the outcome certain before the scheduled end time.
Key catalysts include team announcements regarding player injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts that affect competitive balance. Weather conditions closer to match day can influence pitch behavior and strategy. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any off-field developments involving key players may also sway trader sentiment. As the match approaches, late-breaking news or betting patterns from other venues can trigger repricing. Monitoring these signals helps you anticipate market moves and refine your position timing.
