This market refers to the cricket match between Kent and Nottinghamshire scheduled for June 26 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive prices from live trader supply and demand. This market reflects what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, often incorporating real-time information faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal gaps in how different venues value the outcome, though prediction markets and bookmakers may never converge exactly due to their structural differences.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on buy and sell orders. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current probability reflects the collective assessment of all participants trading this contract, with prices moving continuously as new information arrives or sentiment shifts. Liquidity on the platform allows traders to enter and exit positions at transparent, real-time rates. The mechanism rewards accurate forecasters and penalizes poor predictions, creating incentives for informed participation and price discovery.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the T20 Blast match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the official match result as confirmed by the relevant cricket authorities and widely reported sports media. Until that point, traders can adjust positions as the event approaches and new information emerges. Resolution is automatic once the conditions are met, allowing traders to settle their positions and collect winnings.
Several factors may shift this market significantly before resolution. Team news—injuries, roster changes, or player availability—can alter perceived strength. Recent form, head-to-head records, and venue conditions all influence trader sentiment. Weather forecasts closer to match day may favor one side's playing style. Betting patterns and sharp money flowing into one outcome can signal informed conviction and trigger price movement. Public commentary from analysts or former players may sway casual traders. As the match date approaches, any breaking news about team preparation or tactical adjustments will likely prompt rapid repricing.
