This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Kent and Hampshire scheduled for 2026-06-28 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Kent will be considered correct if Kent is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Hampshire will be considered correct if Hampshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by thousands of independent traders competing to profit on accurate forecasts. Prediction markets tend to incorporate dispersed information quickly and can sometimes offer sharper probability estimates than traditional betting lines. However, sportsbooks may adjust faster for certain late-breaking news. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines on the same event can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker and order book mechanism, where buy and sell orders determine the odds in real time. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), reflecting the collective probability estimate. When you place a trade, you move the price; larger trades cause sharper shifts. The market price converges toward the true probability as more information arrives and traders arbitrage mispricings. This continuous price discovery process means the odds you see reflect live market sentiment about the toss outcome, updated with every transaction.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Kent and Hampshire concludes and the toss result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual coin toss outcome at the ground on match day. Your position settles based on which team or result is confirmed through official match reporting and broadcast coverage. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as traders update their forecasts based on team news, weather, and other pre-match signals that might influence the toss outcome.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before the match begins. Team news—such as injury updates, lineup changes, or captain decisions—may influence trader expectations about the toss strategy. Weather forecasts can matter if conditions favor a particular outcome or if either captain has stated a preference based on pitch conditions. Social media sentiment and expert commentary about the fixture can sway retail traders. Late-breaking odds from sportsbooks or other prediction markets may trigger arbitrage activity. Closer to match day, on-ground conditions and final team confirmations often drive the largest moves as traders refine their probability estimates with the freshest available information.
