This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Hampshire and Yorkshire scheduled for 2026-06-26 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Hampshire will be considered correct if Hampshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Yorkshire will be considered correct if Yorkshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. This market's odds emerge from continuous trading rather than a bookmaker's fixed spread. Traders typically incorporate the latest team news, historical toss data, and venue conditions into their positions. Over time, prediction market prices tend to be more efficient than early sportsbook lines, though both can shift significantly closer to match day as new information surfaces.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability quotes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The contract price directly reflects the implied likelihood of each outcome—in this case, which team wins the toss. As traders deposit capital and place positions, the price adjusts continuously to balance supply and demand. Liquidity providers help narrow bid-ask spreads, making it easier for you to enter or exit positions at fair prices. The more trading activity this market attracts, the tighter and more efficient its pricing becomes.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Hampshire and Yorkshire has been played and the toss result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the coin toss at the start of the match. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the toss, as official match records and broadcaster coverage make the result immediately clear and unambiguous. Your position will settle automatically once the outcome is confirmed on the platform.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the toss occurs. Team news—such as injuries to key players or last-minute lineup changes—can influence trader sentiment about momentum and confidence. Weather updates, pitch reports, and venue conditions may prompt reassessment of which captain is more likely to win the toss and make a favorable decision. Public betting patterns and social media discussion can also sway trader positions. As match day draws closer and more information becomes available, expect increased volatility and trading volume. Any unexpected developments in team form or external circumstances could trigger rapid repricing.
