This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Hampshire and Sussex scheduled for 2026-06-02 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Hampshire will be considered correct if Hampshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Sussex will be considered correct if Sussex is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.
On Polymarket, the Hampshire vs Sussex toss outcome is priced as a binary contract where each share represents a claim on one outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares at prices between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), with the price reflecting the probability the market assigns to that outcome. As new information emerges—team news, weather updates, or historical toss patterns—traders adjust their positions, moving the price. Polymarket's automated market maker or order-book mechanism ensures continuous pricing and liquidity, allowing you to see the exact cost of taking either side of the toss prediction at any moment.
The market resolves on Jun 9, 2026, coinciding with the scheduled start of the Hampshire vs Sussex T20 Blast match. Resolution is determined by the official toss result announced at the ground immediately before play begins. The outcome is binary: either Hampshire or Sussex wins the toss. Once the toss is called and confirmed by match officials, the prediction market locks in and settles based on that official result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift market odds before the toss. Team news—injuries to key players or late lineup changes—may influence traders' confidence in one side's strategy or captain's decision-making. Weather forecasts, especially wind and cloud cover, can affect perceived advantage at the toss. Historical head-to-head toss records or venue-specific patterns may be repriced as match day approaches. Social media sentiment, expert predictions, and betting syndicates entering the market can also move prices. Finally, any official announcements about ground conditions or match logistics could trigger repricing as traders update their probability estimates closer to Jun 9, 2026.
