This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Hampshire and Kent scheduled for 2026-07-05 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Hampshire will be considered correct if Hampshire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Kent will be considered correct if Kent is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect pure crowd belief—traders risk real money on outcomes they genuinely expect. This market lets you compare your own view of the toss outcome against what the crowd is pricing in. If you believe the consensus is mispriced, you can trade accordingly. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than traditional oddsmakers on many events.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly against a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome adjusts continuously based on supply and demand—as more traders buy one outcome, its price rises, and the alternative falls. This ensures the market always has a quoted price and remains liquid. Your trade size and timing determine the exact fill price you receive, and larger trades move the price more than small ones.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the T20 Blast match between Hampshire and Kent concludes and the toss result is verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources reporting the official toss call. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution is straightforward and objective, tied directly to the documented toss result from the match broadcast and official records.
Several factors can shift this market before it resolves. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or weather updates—may alter perceived advantage and influence toss strategy or betting patterns. Public commentary from analysts or team insiders about toss preferences can sway trader sentiment. As match day approaches, increased media coverage and expert predictions often drive volume and repricing. Late-breaking information about pitch conditions or captain statements may also trigger significant moves. Finally, large trades from well-known predictors or sudden volume spikes can signal new information and prompt rapid repricing across the board.
