This market refers to the cricket match between Hampshire and Kent scheduled for July 5 2026 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader belief and financial incentive to forecast accurately. This market may show materially different probabilities than what you'd find at a betting exchange, especially as new information emerges closer to the match. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money is positioning itself and highlight potential value opportunities in either venue.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the aggregate belief of all participants; as more traders back one result, its share price rises and the implied probability adjusts upward. Liquidity, order flow, and new information all influence the equilibrium price in real time. This mechanism ensures that the market continuously reprices itself based on fresh signals and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as odds shift with team news, weather updates, and live action. Resolution is final once the event data is locked in, and all positions settle according to the confirmed outcome.
Key catalysts include team lineup announcements, injury updates to star players, and weather forecasts closer to match day. Venue conditions, recent form, and head-to-head records can all shift trader sentiment. Live match developments—such as early wickets or strong batting performances—will drive sharp repricing as the event unfolds. Market-moving news might include last-minute roster changes or tactical shifts. Monitoring these signals helps you anticipate price swings and identify trading opportunities before the broader market reacts.
