This market tracks the outcome of the T20 Blast cricket match between Gloucestershire and Surrey scheduled for July 4, 2026, with the added condition that both the pre-match coin toss and final match result must align for a decisive outcome. Aggregating data from Polymarket and Kalshi, the consensus probability for Surrey to win stands at 100.0%, according to resolution criteria from the official match records. Watch for the match kickoff on July 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT, as the toss result at that time will be the first critical signal determining whether a non-Draw resolution is possible.
This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Gloucestershire and Surrey scheduled for 2026-07-04 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Gloucestershire will be considered correct if Gloucestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Surrey will be considered correct if Surrey is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.
This market covers the Gloucestershire vs Surrey men's professional T20 Blast cricket match scheduled for July 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT. Each team has a corresponding market that resolves to Yes if that team wins the match. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. In cases of forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurring before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. If such events occur after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, markets resolve based on that declared result. If play commences but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform differences in user base, liquidity depth, and settlement rules can create temporary price gaps. Polymarket and Kalshi may attract traders with different risk tolerances and information sets, leading to divergent probability estimates for the same toss outcome. Additionally, each platform's fee structure and order-matching engine influence how quickly prices adjust to new information. These spreads typically narrow as the match approaches and more traders arbitrage between venues, but real-time discrepancies offer opportunities for cross-platform traders.
Toss markets are inherently volatile because the outcome is random and unknowable until the moment it occurs. However, trader positioning, late-breaking team news, or weather conditions affecting ground conditions may influence speculative bets on which captain wins the toss. Liquidity inflows from casual bettors or institutional traders can also shift prices sharply in the final hours before the match. Since the toss is independent of team form or conditions, price movement typically reflects changing trader sentiment and bet sizing rather than fundamental information.
