Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Gloucestershire and Somerset scheduled for 2026-06-05 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Gloucestershire will be considered correct if Gloucestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Somerset will be considered correct if Somerset is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the T20 Blast: Gloucestershire vs Somerset Toss Match Double on Polymarket. It displays current market prices for each outcome, 24-hour trading volume, historical price movements, and the implied probability of each result. The interface updates continuously as traders buy and sell shares, allowing you to monitor how market sentiment shifts as match day approaches. You can view cumulative volume, track which outcomes are gaining or losing support, and compare current odds against earlier price levels to identify momentum and volatility patterns.

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time consensus from thousands of independent traders rather than fixed lines set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks typically adjust for margin and risk management, while prediction markets price outcomes based on collective belief. For the Gloucestershire vs Somerset toss, comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the crowd is more or less confident than professional bookmakers. Prediction markets tend to be more efficient at incorporating late-breaking information, such as team news or weather updates, closer to match time.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the toss outcome is priced as a binary or multi-outcome contract where each possible result (typically heads or tails, or team-specific toss outcomes) is represented as a separate share. The price of each share reflects the probability traders assign to that outcome, ranging from near 0 to near 100. As traders buy or sell shares based on their expectations, prices adjust in real time. Volume and liquidity on the contract determine how quickly prices move in response to new trades, and wider spreads between bid and ask prices indicate lower liquidity or higher uncertainty among participants.

The market resolves on Jun 12, 2026, which corresponds to the scheduled start time of the T20 Blast match between Gloucestershire and Somerset. Resolution is determined by the official toss result announced by the match officials immediately before play begins. The outcome is objective and unambiguous, recorded by the umpires and broadcast by the match commentary. Once the toss is called and confirmed, the market settles according to which outcome occurred, and traders' positions are finalized based on the result.

Although the toss itself is random, market prices can shift based on team news, injury updates, weather forecasts, and tactical analysis that traders believe may influence captains' decisions if they win the toss. Late-breaking information about pitch conditions, dew, or ground state can prompt traders to reassess the value of batting or bowling first, indirectly affecting toss outcome pricing. Betting patterns and large trades on Polymarket may also signal informed opinion, causing other traders to adjust positions. Closer to match time, any official announcements regarding team composition or venue conditions could trigger repricing as the market incorporates fresh data.
