This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Glamorgan and Worcestershire scheduled for 2026-07-05 in T20 Blast. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Glamorgan will be considered correct if Glamorgan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Worcestershire will be considered correct if Worcestershire is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing models. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders responding to real-time information and their own forecasts. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more reactive pricing because participants have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the toss result, and the price reflects the collective probability assigned by all active traders. As new bets flow in, the price adjusts mechanically to balance supply and demand. Higher prices indicate stronger confidence in that outcome; lower prices suggest skepticism. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to breaking news, team updates, or shifting expectations about the match.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the toss result from the T20 Blast match between Glamorgan and Worcestershire is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official toss call recorded at the start of play. Resolution depends on the match proceeding and the toss being conducted as scheduled; any postponement or cancellation may trigger alternative resolution rules specific to the platform.
Several factors can shift this market before it resolves. Team news—injuries, roster changes, or late withdrawals—may alter perceived advantage and influence toss-outcome expectations. Weather updates, pitch reports, or ground conditions could sway trader sentiment about which captain might prefer batting or bowling first. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and betting syndicates entering or exiting positions can also trigger sharp price moves. Finally, any official announcements from the match organizers about timing, venue changes, or player availability will likely prompt immediate repricing as traders recalibrate their forecasts.
