Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Hong Kong, China and Malaysia scheduled for 2026-06-07 in T20 Asian Games, Qualifier. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Hong Kong, China will be considered correct if Hong Kong, China is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Malaysia will be considered correct if Malaysia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader positioning rather than fixed bookmaker margins. Sportsbooks typically build in a 4–5% vig and adjust lines based on liability management, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized bets with minimal overhead. For this toss match, the prediction market may price outcomes more efficiently if traders have superior information about coin bias, venue conditions, or team captain preferences. Comparing Polymarket odds to major sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities before the match begins.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the toss match outcome is priced through an automated market maker or order-book model where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. The current implied probability reflects the ratio of capital allocated to each side. As traders update their views on Hong Kong versus Malaysia's likelihood of winning the toss, the price adjusts in real time. Polymarket's fee structure and liquidity depth influence how quickly prices move and how tight the bid-ask spread remains leading up to Jun 14, 2026.

The market resolves at Jun 14, 2026, immediately after the official coin toss is conducted at the start of the match. The outcome is determined by which team wins the toss as announced by the match officials and confirmed by the broadcaster. Once the toss result is official, the market settles to the winning outcome and all positions are paid out according to the final odds at which they were held. Traders should monitor official match communications and live coverage to confirm the toss result before settlement is finalized.

Several factors can shift trader positioning before the toss. Weather updates—particularly wind or humidity changes—may influence perceived coin bias. Team news, such as captain changes or injury announcements, can alter strategic preferences for batting or bowling first. Venue-specific information, including ground conditions or historical toss patterns, may emerge as match day approaches. Social media sentiment and expert commentary on team form can sway market sentiment. Additionally, late-breaking odds from sportsbooks or other public sources may trigger arbitrage activity, causing prediction market prices to adjust as traders react to new information or recalibrate their edge.
